I Have an Announcement to Make! <3

As Ryan and I were driving toward the movie theater in Greeneville to see National Treasure 2 with his family on Christmas day, Ryan took a strange detour toward downtown. I assumed he was just being his random self and thought nothing of it...until he turned into the loop in front of Greeneville High School.

After opening my door for me, he led me by the hand up the stairs to stand in front of the main school doors. (By this point I knew what was happening so I was all giggly and nervous.) He proceeded to tell me that I was standing in the very spot he'd seen me standing in from where he had been just inside the school the first time he ever laid eyes on me back in the fall of 2004. The day he thought my younger brother was hitting on me, but decided to come introduce himself anyway. The day he found out that my brother was not my boyfriend, but was in fact my brother, and decided to pursue me. The day he practically fell in love with me at first sight. The day that spawned years of flirtation and eventually our relationship two years later. The day everything between us began, though we had no idea at the time we'd end up back on those front steps for the beginning of something else entirely between us. Then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.

...

Of course I said yes! ^___________^

So know I'm showing off my luverly ring~

Here is a picture from the jeweler because the stone is hard to see in my own photo.

And we've already set a date: Saturday, December 27, 2008. So mark your calendars! : D

Christmas is Almost Here

Sorry I kind of disappeared for a while there. Work has been crazy between McDonald's and the hospital. When I'm not at work I'm trying to get in as much sleep as I possibly can. Ugh. I can't wait until Ryan comes back from training next fall so I can quit McDonald's and just work at the hospital and as a housegirlfriend...er...housewife by next Christmas. ^_~ Kekeke.

Ryan and I exchanged gifts Friday night because he had to work the rest of the weekend. I gave him a new watch and two DVD's: Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail and Robin Hood Men in Tights. He made me feel bad because he went crazy for my gifts. He gave me Waitress on DVD, the novel The Dark Mirror by Juliet Marillier, a cute panda picture frame, a new set of black dishes that I've been wanting forever, Godiva Chocolate, Pocky, and some Japanese candy by Meiji called Hello Panda that are little panda shaped cookies filled with chocolate. Then we went out together and bought a new bedspread and sheets for our formerly very pink bedroom. And Christmas isn't even over yet!

We're going to my parents' tomorrow night after work to open gifts with them. We'll be eating Christmas breakfast and opening stockings there Christmas morning and staying for Christmas dinner, which is actually a lunch thing. Then we'll be heading to the theater to see the new National Treasure movie with Ryan's family before going to their house to open gifts. So many gifts and dinners and stuffs! Gah! Haha. I'm looking forward to it, though. This is only the beginning of Ryan and I having to spend holidays torn between a million different places so we might as well get used to it and enjoy it the best we can.

So Tired...

This weekend has been a whirlwind. Ryan's family drove down for the weekend yesterday morning. We all went out to lunch before Ryan had to be at work. Then I went Christmas shopping with Ryan's mom and two younger brothers. The eldest brother and I stayed at the apartment playing video games while his mom and youngest brother went to a concert they won tickets for a few weeks ago. Everybody got back to the apartment, Ryan included, pretty late at which point we ordered pizza and talked until the wee hours of the morning while the younger boys played more video games.

Being the good hostess my family brought me up to be, Ryan and I folded out the futon and let his mother and youngest brother have our bed. The older brother opted to sleep in the floor of our bedroom. And in continuing my good hostessness, I made sure everyone had breakfast this morning between instant oatmeal, omelets, and blueberry muffins. Mwaha. I rock. ^_^ Shortly after that Ryan's family headed back for Greeneville, and Ryan headed for work.

I managed to get most of the laundry done today, though I'm now waiting for Ryan to get home with some more quarters so that I can finish up the last load. *kicks coin laundry in the face* I didn't get my weekly apartment cleaning done because I'm worn out from the shopping and hostessing. Haha. And I have to work four out of five days this week at both jobs. Meaning from 7am to 1pm at McDonald's, come home for a very quick shower and a bite of lunch, and then off to the hospital from 3pm until 7-8pm. o(_ _)o zzzZZZ I'm going to be so tired by the time next weekend rolls around. And it's the last weekend before Christmas! Luckily I'm all done with shopping except for my brother which I can make a quick run to the mall for on Saturday via the bus. Ryan on the other hand still has to shop for me. But he plans on doing it during my many hours of work.

I'm also going to attempt to make a hair appointment on Saturday to get my already growing out hair trimmed up to my chin again and maybe get some highlights or something. Depends on what I can afford after Ryan's shopping. ^_^;; Word is that he'll be bringing home a certain piece of bling that will make an appearance in the very near future...

Done With School

So I'm done with my finals and school until next semester. Feeling okay about my Astronomy final. I think I did actually pass decently. ^_^;; So now all I have to worry about is my two jobs for the next month...

Now my bathtub works like it should. Tomorrow they're coming to fix and paint my ceiling due to a water spot from the person above me not shutting their shower door correctly. -_-;; That person has been told how to close the door from now on, and the spot is dry...just ugly. So they are going to paint it for me.

Now I'm off to waste more time playing Sims 2 as it has become my favorite pastime over the years. : D At least until Ryan gets home. Then we'll probably watch a movie or something on TV.

Final Stretch

So I'm home after a day of final exams in both Japanese and Economics. I know I passed Japanese with flying colors, but Economics I'm not so sure about. I know I did well enough to pass...just no flying colors involved. Haha. I have my Astronomy exam tomorrow evening, and then I'm done for the semester!

I have today and tomorrow off from work for my exams so I'm enjoying a little leisure time before I hit the Astronomy studying. Urgh. I've been watching random TV and just forgetting about everything else for a few hours. I think I'm going to play some Sims 2 now until Ryan gets home tonight.

My non-draining bathtub is being fixed from the apartment below right now so I can't even use the bathroom until that is done. Gah. A girl can only hold it for so long. : P Might have to make a run down to McDonald's or something so I don't explode.

Near Death Experience

Well, it all started when Ryan woke up at 10:30 this morning. The time he was supposed to be clocking in at work. -_-;; He rushed to get ready and ran out the door with a quick hug and a, "Be careful! It's raining like crazy!" from me.

He called me at 10:45 to tell me he had just cheated death. Apparently he was driving in the left lane of westbound traffic when someone changed lanes in front of him and proceeded to slam on their brakes. Ryan tapped his brakes to try and slow down, and the car decided it wasn't going to do that. Instead the car span. On the interstate. In the rain. Oncoming traffic and all.

Eventually after lots of trying to correct and thinking he was about to be dead, Ryan managed to get the car straight and stopped on the correct side of the road in the emergency lane. Someone stopped and asked him if was okay, and then he got back into the car and headed to work. No damage to him. No damage to the car. We're both thanking God right now.

Christmas Party Tonight

So the past couple of days have just been a continuation of sleeping in, playing Sims 2, and then going to work. ^_^;; I'm such a lazy bum sometimes. I slept in again today, but I did clean the apartment so at least I'm getting more productive. Tomorrow will be laundry day.

Tonight my dad is coming to take me to the Christmas party my new employer is hosting on a yacht for two hours. : D Ryan has to work, and I didn't want to go alone so I invited my dad. I think he's looking forward to it.

Our bathtub has decided to stop draining again. I called the landlord, but they won't be able to come look at it until Monday so until then I have to take very quick showers standing in the leftover cold water from previous showers. Ugh.

I really need to start looking over stuff for my final exams next week. -_-;; I haven't studied at all so far this week. I intend to study my Japanese and Economics in between laundry tomorrow. I might dabble in Astronomy, but I'll probably really study it Tuesday night after my other exams and Wednesday morning and afternoon before the Astronomy exam takes place that night. I procrastinate way too much.

On Monday I start working about 18 hours a week at McDonald's until school starts up again. I really don't want to go back to that, but I know we can use the money so I'll do what I have to do. Especially next summer while Ryan is gone.

Right now I'm just enjoying lazing around what few hours I have left before I have to hit the cold-water-filled shower, get ready for the party, and then the weekend just rolls by before I know it. Heh.

Sleep is Bad...Sometimes

I really need to find a way to motivate my arse out of bed at a decent hour even when I don't have somewhere to be so that I can have more time to do the things I want and not just the things I have to do. Grr. I'm annoyed with myself for always sleeping through every ounce of my free time.

I finally started doing the actual data entry at work last night, and it wasn't bad at all so I'm excited to keep going with that. I had to set up my e-mail and everything, and the IT department was trying to recruit me for my HTML and graphic design skills. Haha. Maybe when I get speedy at data entry I can help them out in between.

I was hoping to get some Sims 2 in before work, but I don't know about that now. I need to dry my now wet hair and eat some lunch. Put the finishing touches on getting ready for work: makeup and jewelry, etc. Ugh. True none of that takes very long for me anymore. Waking up twenty minutes before class starts teaches you quickly how to take showers in a very speedy manner and get ready even faster. ^_^;; But still...I don't like to start Sims 2 if I don't have several hours at my disposal to get lost in it. Meh.

Musings of the Bipolar Sort

Ryan and I were approved for our first credit cards through our bank, and they arrived in the mail yesterday. We already have a plan to use Ryan's for gasoline and pay it off monthly since we already would've used that money to pay for gas out of pocket. Mine is reserved for travel and emergencies and will be paid off as quickly as possible without killing ourselves over it. We're pretty excited to actually be building credit. We always get turned down because we're "kids" with no credit. How are you supposed to get credit if no one ever approves you? Gah! But these cards are for our student accounts at the bank so they were approved easily. Finally.

Last night we watched two movies with Robin Williams as the lead: Patch Adams and What Dreams May Come. The former is a favorite from my childhood that I haven't seen in years, but I'd never seen the latter before. It was quite the artsy movie. I'm still not sure if I liked it or not. I can relate to it in many ways mostly because of how the wife deals with trauma and stuff. My bipolar disorder often makes it hard for me to deal like other people so I break down or close myself off from reality and other people. I could see myself spiraling down like that if I lost both my children and husband right down to the point where she commits suicide. Sadly, I relate to those thoughts and feelings. Messed up, right? Wouldn't expect someone as cheerful as me to have such thoughts, but I do. Heh. Oddly, I've become so accustomed to them that I don't feel weird about it. Sometimes I scare myself, though, and thank goodness I have Ryan to bring me down to Earth. He knows better than to ever leave me alone if I'm really down or we have a fight. I love him for the way he takes care of me. <3 Of course, the anti-depressants help, too, I suppose. But sometimes they aren't sufficient if I get upset enough so Ryan is my back-up happy pill. : 3

Today was the last day of class until exams so now I just have to study and catch up on all of my reading for Astronomy and Economics so that I stand the chance of passing my tests. ^_^;; I really need to ace all of my exams to ensure I pass with more than a 'C' because I'm just not the 'C' kind of student. I at least want a mid-to-high 'B'. I think I can pull that off if I just study hard for these upcoming final exams. Hopefully.

Another Weekend Gone

Though I did not laze around as much yesterday as Saturday, I still feel like my weekend went by without me. T-T I basically slept in yesterday morning and spent the afternoon doing laundry and giving my apartment its weekly cleaning from top to bottom. Then I played Sims 2 for hours on end before settling down to watch my DVRed Desperate Housewives. I'm kind of miffed that the whole writers' strike thing is now going to keep me from finding out what happens for freakin' ever. Gah! Cliffhangers suck bad enough when writers aren't on strike. Grr.

This morning I took the listening portion of my Japanese final exam. Easy stuff. Hope the written part next week is the same. Heh. Should be, though. Japanese is the class I'm least worried about by far. I have to go to my last Economics Lab this afternoon before rushing over to the hospital to start work about an hour later than usual. And I know the Lab will probably be a complete waste of time I could have spent at home less stressed about getting to work on time.

So far work at the hospital looks promising. I can't say much due to all the confidentiality stuffs, but I'm still not doing any data entry because I don't have any passwords or anything like that. I've just been helping out a little until they get all of that settled, probably tomorrow. Yay to having a computer with internet and actual data entry to do! : D I won't be so bored. I'll probably be wishing I could go back to the boredom. Haha. I've already taken some pictures in and started trying to make my desk more me-ish and less dreary. It still needs some stuff, though.

Well, I'm to visit all of my online dailies and slurp down some ramen before heading off to Lab in about an hour and then work. Fun stuff.

Blergh

So life is crazy as usual. School, work, attempt to sleep at some point, and then start all over again. And now I've started cooking real dinners for Ryan and myself as well as attempting to help Ryan pack lunches so he and I are both spending less money eating out and eating healthier foods. Takes a little more time and effort, but overall we're spending less money on more food. And I don't mind the whole "house-girlfriend" gig. Haha. Ryan and I call it "house-girlfriend" because I'm not technically a housewife...yet. Mwhaha. Yet.

I had my hair chopped off again over Thanksgiving, and my mother helped me dye it back it's original brunette so no more red and gold-blonde. Haha. The roots were starting to show really bad, and my hair was so long and thick that I was starting to look like a sheepdog. Heh.

I finally got around to taking a picture of our Christmas tree and stockings. Ryan's officially part of the family now that my great-grandmother made a stocking for him like the rest of us. Haha. I told him he can't back out now. XD It meant a lot to him, actually. We also bought a candle as a centerpiece for our table, but it matches the red, black, and white theme we have going so we're going to leave it there permanently. Also, today I got crafty and made two new pillows for our "couch" out of some left over fabric and stuffing I had collecting dust in one of our closets. : D I'm pretty proud.

Ryan and I slept in today and lazed around watching design shows on TV. Haha. Hence the motivation for the pillows. : P I've got him hooked on TLC and other such channels now. Mwhaha. ^_~ Anyhow, the day was pretty much over after that so he went to work while I lazed around a little more and finished making the pillows. I'm anxious to see what he thinks of them. Well, I'm off to start a late dinner of chicken and fried rice before Ryan gets home. Ja.
